Born on 15 April 1885, in Curitiba, PR, son of Josef Rössler and Marianna Slewinska. He was a cabinetmaker in Curitiba. He married Rosa Metzger on 18 November 1908 at the residence of Frederico Metzger in Araucária, PR. The witnesses were Manuel Gonçalves Ferreira and Guilherme Borne. They had five children: Afonso (1909), Frederico (1912), Carlota (1913), Lourival (1916) and Dorval (1920). He died on 11 December 1941, aged 56, at the Hospital Colônia São Roque in Piraquara, of cancer and cachexia.
