Born around 1812, probably in Dębowiec, Jaslo, Galicia, in the former Austrian Empire. He had a first marriage to Magdalena Graboska in 1834. He married Justyna Kmiecik in Dębowiec in 1841. They had at least one daughter: Marianna Slewinska, in 1851.
